About TraceCallerID

One job, done properly.

We got tired of dodging unknown numbers, deciphering missed calls and second-guessing every ring. So we built one focused app that does caller ID and spam defense the way it should be done.

Our Story

Built from one frustration
every phone owner shares

The average smartphone gets dozens of calls a week from numbers it has never seen. Some are real. Most are noise. Existing caller ID apps either bloat themselves with games and gimmicks or treat your contact list like inventory to monetise.

TraceCallerID is the answer to both. A single, focused product — overlay, call log, blocklist, reverse lookup, spam reporting — engineered around the moment your phone rings. Privacy isn't a marketing line: phone numbers are SHA-256 hashed before they ever leave your device, and raw uploads are strictly opt-in.

What we believe

Our principles in three lines

A short list. Every decision we make is run through these filters.

Focus beats features

One product, done well, beats ten products bundled together. TraceCallerID doesn't try to be a torch or a calculator — it tries to be the best caller ID on your phone.

Your data is yours

SHA-256 hashing before any upload. Opt-in raw numbers. A one-call wipe endpoint. We use only what we must to make the product work — and we never sell it.

Respect the ring

Caller ID has to be instant or it's worthless. Native foreground services, a 6-hour Redis lookup cache and a 5-second native fallback keep the overlay on time.

How we build

Our approach, in plain English

We ship weekly. We listen harder than we talk. We fix fast. Here's the cadence.

01

Listen

Every release begins with real user signals — tickets, reviews, spam-report patterns, lookup latency. We build for actual problems.

02

Ship

Weekly sprints with short feedback loops. Something new in your hands every seven days, not every seven months.

03

Refine

Once a feature is out, we measure latency, false-positive rate and adoption — then refine until it disappears into the experience.
